I know this has been discussed before and from previous experience travelling through France to Spain my GC680 has always been recognised as Class 2 at a manual motorway toll paypoint (GC680 with aircon on the roof).

For my next trip later this year I am thinking of getting a toll tag. The GC680 qualifies ok for Class 2 on height, but not on weight.

Unfortunately, there may be a further issue now due to some toll motorways having their toll booths removed. The way I understand it, for the correct class to be charged on this type of motorway, the system must recognizes your vehicle's class from the tag account information.

Is anyone familiar with this? Anyone got the App that goes with a tag to see what information it now requires? Perhaps the registration number, as I have read along the lines of "make sure your vehicle details are updated if the tag is used in a different vehicle". But how does that work with a vehicle that could be from anywhere in the world? I am sure they can get UK registration information, but say USA or other non EU countries?

Before anyone tells me "Well the GC680 does not qualify, end of story", I am not trying to beat the system. As previously said, we were always recognised as Class 2, and I know others have used a tag successfully with their GC680. Just trying to find a way to make things easier so my wife does not have to dangle out of the window at manual toll booths.
