I have changed the dipped beam and fog light bulbs for Osram Nightbreakers. A nice, very bright crisp white light both 3600K output. The H15 dual filament bulb for the DRL Also has a similar white light at 3200K, and there is no Nightbreaker version.
However the side/parking lights are very yellow. I have been looking for a replacement that is bright white. LED's are a possibility, but many are NOT road legal or Canbus compatable.
These Phillips Halogen Bulbs are both legal and Canbus compatable. http://www.powerbulbs.com/product/philips-whitevision-w5w-twin Has anyone tried them? Or does anyone think they should match, and are they the correct replacement type?

Well changed the front side/parking bulbs to the blue Phillips Extreme Halogen. Now ALL the front lights match in colour temperature. VW must employ people with very, very small hands to do this because it is ****** difficult with my man sized hands, but managed eventually.
You could use LED bulbs but they are not Canbus correct nor EU approved, well none of the ones I found were.

I fitted LED lamps for the side lights. The weren't canbus specific ones but I've had no problems. I'll try and find the details to post up

WelshGas have you got a link to where you got the Osram Nightbreakers from. I got some for dipped beam but they are s$£%e & not white. I suspect they are not what it says on the tin !!

Thanks

I got mine from the Forum Shop. I don't think they are selling them anymore.
I got my fog light Nightbreakers from here http://www.powerbulbs.com and they also do the H7.
