Frozen circle

I have a 2011 se. Noticed that a frozen (to the touch) circle about 5” in diameter has appeared on the left rear floor area of the van. No gas or water in van just now. Any ideas?

Any possibility of a photo?

Do you have Climatronic or 3 Zone AirCon?

Hi Welshgas. Thanks for the reply. On holiday just now. Back tomorrow I’ll sort a photo then.
I just have normal ac in the front with a bottom on the dash with rear for ac for rear. Controls in the rear too.

Hi Welshgas. I've taken a photo of the cabin controls, rear controls and the patch of artic in question. I've only had this van a few months and I'm still learning all its character flaws! Thanks for any help/advice.

Same as my setup i.e. rear is ambient not a/c.
Stain looks like something placed on floor and left a mark although you say it is cold? Intrigued....cannot be more helpful. Sorry

As @EddieEagle has said. You do not have rear AirCon, only Ambient + Heated.
That White spot is at the Base of the Rear Wardrobe I presume, near the Tailgate?

Is it constantly present or does it disappear when the vehicle is left standing?

If constantly present then I can only suggest something has stained the plastic floor. There is nothing under that area of the vehicle floor that could cause this, that I am aware of.

The only thing under the floor at that point would be the spare wheel, I think. Worth checking?

Hi. Yes it’s still there. I’ve already removed the spare and checked around that area. Nothing noted. I’ll check with a VW mechanic mate of mine. See if he can shed any light on it.

If it was " Frozen" then I would expect it to melt when the vehicle is not being used.

The only thing I can think of that would leave a frozen circle like that is a gas cylinder or CO2 fire extinguisher discharging whilst stood on that bit of floor.

Maybe someone has painted the floor a darker grey around a paint pot placed on that very spot but ran out of paint after removing the pot....
