Gas connections

Can someone please educate me on gas fittings?? Just bought Camping Gaz cylinder to fit inside fresh water tank and the fitting on the regulator is different. Is there an adaptor I should have or need to buy, or have I just bought the wrong gas? :crazy

there should be a regulator in the van atatched to the gas pipe, which unscrews then fits / screws into the GAZ bottle then the gas pipe screws into the regulator

ps make sure the regulator is turned off when you screw it into the GAZ bottle
they should all be standard fittings?

I have what you describe but the regulator has a fitting that is for a bigger externally threaded bottle, rather than internal threaded Gaz bottle? If that makes sense? It seems like I am missing a right angled section that would attach to the bottle.

I have just done another google and it looks like there is a newer style connection that needs a pigtail?? See link below, I think this is what I am missing.

No that is not what you need.

Look at the thread Kev suggested & you will see a photo of the regulator & the adapter.
There should be an adapter in the van when you buy it. If you bought new I would suggest you go back to the dealer.
