Gas leaking even after changing regulator and tap.

Hi all. We had the rubber gas tube changed in our Cali in January this year, as it was the original one from 2007. After returning from a trip at the beginning of July, we noticed a smell of gas in the living area of our van. This was after the van had been completely shut up for a couple of days in our garage. We did as people suggested on here, use soapy water and brush to check the joints out with the regulator/tap/tubing. Unfortunately, there was no obvious leak. We then decided to change both the regulator and tap, as they were both the originals from 2007. Having just returned from a short trip of 8 days, unfortunately there is a smell of gas again. Whilst we have been away, the doors/windows have been open (even at night) and we've not smelt any gas. I'm assuming people would suggest a gas check by an expert? Where else could gas be leaking from?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

If the Gas Holder lid was correctly fitted and you could smell gas within the van then I would be looking at the gas pipe connection to the gas stopcock under the L side of the kitchen hob and the connections from that stopcock to the individual gas taps to each burner.
I believe the gas pipe from the gas holder junction to the kitchen unit stopcock is one continuous pipe so unlikely to be the problem.

Parts 9 & 12 and if that is OK check Part 6

Have you turned off the gas valve in the kitchen press. If you have left this valve open try closing it and if the gas smell is eliminated then it would localise the leak to the hob area.

OK. Thanks for your detailed reply. We’ll try what you have suggested.

One of the checks for the gas certificate is on the
flame supervision device (FSD) – alternative name: flame failure device (FFD) – is a general term for any device designed to stop flammable gas going to the burner of a gas appliance if the flame is extinguished.

You light both burners and then with a big puff, blow them out.
If you hear a pop within a couple of seconds the the safety device is
working correctly and it has shut off the gas.

Yes, gas tap switched off under the hob.

We’ll try that. Unfortunately, only one of our rings stays on. The right hand one generally doesn’t stay on.
