Gas struts for rear door with bike rack

Anybody mounted the reinforced gas struts for the rear door so it can hold a rack with some load?
I found the code for T6, 7E0827550D
So far found it only on ebay for 100eur for pair.
Suppose they are easily change? Don't have to take the car to the service for it?

Have you checked the part number on the struts already fitted?
I thought the Cali came with the uprated struts from the factory.

Yeah, as smokey said, if your struts are 1250n, that is about as powerful as is reasonable possible, and is standard in the Cali

Going to check it.
Though with empty rack alone the gate goes down pretty easy.
Doubt it will hold even 20kg on the rack.

Have a search on this site, there is a lot written about it....1250 is as good as you will get, and it won't hold 20 kg, hence why some of us use a pole to keep the rear open with a lot of bikes on, and others use towbar racks
