Loving all things VW after owning four T2.5's, indicates to me that you are a man of unshakeable faith.
From my experience, after owning an Autosleeper 2.1 injection from new, was that it was a difficult vehicle to love, and no it didn't blow it's head gasket, and we sold it before it's body seams went rusty.
Show it a bit of wet grass it would get stuck. That gear change! That wedge face!
After those, and now ownig a Beach, you're going to be besotted with VW. Enjoy!
