Getting real-time alternator load via OBD/Carista

Hi Folks,

I'm trying to use OBD to get the live alternator current from my T6.1. I have successfully set up (and used) Carista (with a VeePeak BT adapter) to make some customisations, but it doesn't show the alternator load under Live Data → Battery Info for my T6.1, even though in their documentation (which does not have the California), shows that it should be available for both the T6.1 Multivan (https://carista.com/en/supported-cars/vw/multivan/t6-1) and the T6.1 Transporter (https://carista.com/en/supported-cars/vw/transporter/t6-1), which I assumed the California is a superset of.

I can see these options under Battery Info in Carista (where Carista says alternator load should be):

• Battery voltage as seen by the CAN gateway ECU
• Battery charge level
• Battery current as seen by the CAN gateway ECU

I've poked around a few other free(mium) OBD apps (on iOS), but haven't had any luck.

Has anyone else tried to see their alternator load via OBD? If so, what app and dongle?
