Hello everyone. We have just returned from the Outer Hebrides on a Cal-Mac Hopscotch journey, in our first ever Cali, henceforth known as Eric. We took delivery in April, and this was our first long trip. Needless to say, we had the best time, wild camping pretty much everywhere, and the views and solitude were terrific, as this picture shows:


This weekend we're off to t'Tour de France in Upper Swaledale, looking forward to another great time. Best vehicle we ever bought.

One question: How do you stop the kettle sliding off the hob when not parked totally flat?

Hi Calikev

We're using a Trangia camping stove kit from my tenting days. Slides around a treat, as do the saucepans and frying pan too. Nightmare.

The bungee cord works fine, but is not a panacea. Had a trapped canvas one day when it was real windy, so have started checking more carefully.
