Grunting noise from Water drainage or pump?

New to the vans, got an annoying grunting noise from either the water pump or the water drainage, not sure which -any ideas? Thanks

Hi unless you’re picked up an unwanted passenger from a channel crossing trip, it sounds like the water pumps running due to the tap issue. Turn off the main switch if it stops it’s most likely to be that. There are plenty of posts relating to the problem ,

We finally figured out what the problem was and why the main battery was draining quickly. The step was constantly making constant micro-movements. It took VW some weeks to work out that this was the problem, and because it was irreparable, we now have a new step and a battery that holds its charge!
