Hello campers!! New to the group, I obviously.

Looking to buy a new T7. Not sure whether to go with the Beach with a colour, tow bar, heater and reverse camera….. OR step up to a Coast, with colour and reverse camera.

Also not sure in the engine.

Also, a little concerned about the leisure battery issues.

Any thoughts or experiences would be very welcome. Loving the group so far and finding some great info.

Hey Paul, I'm in the west Mids, Nip into B'ham Swansway and check them out, they have a few with different colours.
Don't worry about the batterys, I'm sure the firmware & software will get updated.
Mines due in 1st July Starlight blue 4motion 245PS Ocean.
Buying from Brad at Breeze.
Get the price from DTD, then ring and speak with Brad, say Will sent you.
should get 5% / 6% off maybe.
But I have ordered 90K worth of Ocean, so not sure what they can offer on Beach / Coast.

T7 Beach or Coast.
My understanding from the little I have seen about T7 California's is that the Beach has the kitchen in the boot and the Coast inside the van. So you may want to think about whether making a cup of tea outside in the boot in the peeing rain mid winter work for you. We use our van all year in all weathers and being able to sit inside and brew up - to us is so much better than doing it outside.

It never used to be a step up from a Beach to a Coast/Ocean. It was more about how you want to use the vehicle; whether you needed the versatility to seat up to 7 or wanted to be able to remove the seats and use the full load space.

I think the reasons for choosing one or the other are a bit blurred now. You can only seat a maximum of 5 in the Beach so if you need more, the California is not for you. You can’t remove the rear kitchen either, which restricts the flexibility. I have a T6 Beach and the T7 would not work for me.

So have a good think about how you would use the vehicle and choose the right one before deciding on colour and any options. That’s my advice.

I would look to rent one or two vehicles and see what works for you - its a big expense and needs to be right for you. There is no size that fits all-its personal choice.
