After loads of looking at vw campers we are now proud ownes of a T6 Nexa which we pick up on Saturday, we did plan to order a brand new one with our own spec but there was stock van available that ticked 95% of the boxes.

Quick question and I won't bore you with why just yet. Do you want swivel seats at front and if so does it have them? Having checked don't think it's an issue for you. I'm a bit paranoid with folks buying stock vehicles

I'd be interested (and I hope others) to know why you chose the Nexa over a California?
I'm a bit of a maverick on here for believing that the standard Cali layout isn't the answer for everyone. I like the Nexa:
- Particularly if using a van on my own, I could just make up a single bed.
- I like the separate rear kitchen when you've got family on-board playing cards or colouring on the table in the lounge.
- I worry about the lack of storage. Can you store bedding under the rear seats?
Bilbo's have got a great reputation and will be able to fix easily any problems with the camping side (rather than just refer to HQ in Germany for the factory built vans).

But why are they not happy to include a 3 year warranty on their conversion with no milage or owner restriction as VW do?
They layout and vehicle types would suit us BUT......... the Warranty??????????

Volkswagen 3-year whole vehicle warranty

Consisting of a 2-year unlimited mileage manufacturer’s warranty and 1-year Van Centre warranty. In the third year the warranty continues until a maximum of 100,000 miles. Third year warranty is only available on vehicles purchased and registered in the UK through a Volkswagen ‘Specialist Converter’, and approved Volkswagen motorhome dealer or a Volkswagen Van Centre. Warranty excludes non-durable parts such as brakes and clutch linings.

Bilbo’s modification & products

Consisting of a non-transferable 2-year / 24,000 miles (whichever comes first) covering all aspects of workmanship and components. Should defects be deemed to result from misuse, this warranty will be void. Subject to one years warranty.

Volkswagen 3-year paintwork warranty

There are no special conditions attached and defects to paintwork caused during manufacture will be rectified without charge. Naturally, during the warranty period, the vehicle should be cared for in compliance with the operating instructions.

Volkswagen 12-year body protection*

Special rust proofing treatment of internal body sections and panels, applied at the time of manufacture, guards against rusting through from the inside. Should this occur during the warranty period, rectification will be made free of charge, and is not subject to compulsory inspection as with other ‘anti-corrosion’ guarantees.

It's just the camping equipment warranty that differs right? The van itself will still get whatever VW supply.
If you see the way Bilbo's are built (and Reimo's etc), I wouldn't stress over the camping side. Just carry a screwdriver and a pair of pliers and you can fix most problems yourself!
