Cassette door wouldn't open so pulled red cord, now it won't lock and if I use the key-fob to unlock van toilet door flap pops open, what shall I do.

Sounds like the Latch may be in the open position having pulled the red chord. Have you tried pushing slightly the red chord back in to see if it has kept the tension on the latch?
It’s a simple system so should be easy to see what the latch is up to from the outside.

Yea, I thought the red cable might not have returned, I removed catch, red cable returns fully on catch, sometimes when I unlock the flap/door remains closed, other times it pops open. I'll go and buy one myself, dealers are worse than I read about. They can't fit you in for months and seem to try to be unhelpful. Brake light is booked in for two months time despite me telling them I think it's leaking.

Update, I bought the actuator from VW (£32) fitted it in a couple of mins, all good. In fact the flap closes a little tighter and looks better.
Hello Gary!

I have a campervan rental company in Azores two of our GCs started to have the issue with this actuator.

Local VW dealer saw GC for the first time once we took it for the service, and they cannot identify this part in their catalogue.

Is there a chance you
know the actuator part number?

Thanks

That picture is what the dealer emailed me, prior to ordering. Just to make sure it was the correct part, it comes with red pull cable too.

Had a similar problem gc600

Part num. 16 doesn't open/turn completely

Its very common, my Swift Basecamp had the same issue, the plastic frame was slightly twisted when screwed to the van
