Help, Part literally broken off....

We have been in France the right hand end of the awning had a piece fall off.

The black cover came off and the was some white plastic that snapped off.

Any ideas what it is?

The awning seems to work normally and the blank end cap cover is secure during travel.

Worth a try. They should do, after all its Thule that will be picking up the tab, not VW.

If there is no sign of external damage, they must replace it under warranty.
If you are lucky, they give you a brand new awning.
But they won't give the old awning with you. Otherwise you could buy the spare parts and sell your "old" awning.
