Hello, we brought our van a month ago (after hiring one in the summer) and have done a couple of little trips (and loving it!) we would like to go away for New Year - ideally to be near the sea (we are just outside Reading). Any advice would be great, thank you so much. Amanda

campsite open for new years.
That could be worth checking out.

Yes, we did Looe last year. Superb evening and there was about 4 Cali's there. . Best to get there early on NYE morning to get a good parking space before all the big whites arrive.

We did Cornwall last year, the Eden Project had a late night event on and there were a few sites open.

Depends how much time you have and how far you want to drive. What about celebrating Hogmanay. We go to Edinburgh for the Christmas market every year. We stay at Morton Hall and there is always space . https://www.meadowhead.co.uk/parks/mortonhall/
Open all year and electric hookup available. Pub on site and showers good.
The public bus service into the city is regular and only takes about 20min, so no worries about having a drink.
It’s cold, but that’s where Calis come into their own.
