Hitop Sealant

Hi folks!

Driving a Vw cali Exclusive. The black sealant that connects the hitop to the body is a bit dry and have came off in some places.

I have searched, but with no good results, found the best sealant to apply. So anyone in here with experience from this?

A friend with an exclusive has suggested Sikaflex, possibly 512, hope that helps

I'm in Norway with the same problem. I looked all over for Sikaflex but couldnt find it there. I've got this Tec7 stuff that was recomended to me. I've bought a load but not got a chance to use it yet. The winter ice has been pushing my sealant out so I need to dig it all out and start again.

From those who have had their Westy roofs off, they comment that it's a very thick (wide) bead, with only the extreme visible from the outside. So I'm not saying don't try to improve it, just don't panic.
When I bought my old exclusive I saw a few with poorly (ugly) reseals and in the end went for one with a few small shrinkage cracks in the original sealant. It felt safer.

Tigerseal is also good stuff. Its a sealant and adhesive too. Made by U-pol.
