Hi to all camper vaners - although not new to camper vans I am a forum novice.
Here goes with my intro-
We include "The van" as part of the family. Since my husband and I met some 20 odd years ago we gradually made the move from normal car to Estate car to transit van we fitted ourselves to old vw with engine in the boot, to Remo conversion vw transporter (10 years) to our current California Beach (last years 20th anniversary present to ourselves). Our kids (and dog) acquired along the way don't remember the pre van days.
I thought we were the first camper vaners in our family until I found a photo of my granny and papa(scottish grandparents) next to their old blue VW camper in the 1950's. Sadly the reg can't be seen so I can't try to trace it. The camper van way of holidaying seems to have been passed on though as my kids already aspire to having their own
