Right, so first we're lubing, then confusion if its the electrical contacts (which I doubt) or the blue casing, and now we don't need to.
So how have you got around the issue of the hook up not sliding on easily without a hefty push, or taking off without needing 3 hands and a prayer to hope you don't pull the whole socket off the van??
Had me worried on the first photo what you were squirting in thereI don’t know what your individual issues are, I just know by giving a little squirt of this stuff every couple of months makes it easier to decouple the electric hook up cable. Photos to avoid crossed wires … haha!

Thank you!! Much appreciated...I don’t know what your individual issues are, I just know by giving a little squirt of this stuff every couple of months makes it easier to decouple the electric hook up cable. Photos to avoid crossed wires … haha!
Honestly, a gentle wiggle is just not doing it.Just wiggle it gently from side to side as you pull and it will come out. The plastic casing is designed to be be a tight fit to keep out moisture.
It’s the plastic casing that is tight, not the contacts.
Have you tried a different plug?Honestly, a gentle wiggle is just not doing it.
I appreciate it needs to be tight for moisture but there's tight and and there's pulling the socket off the van!
I wish there was a way to video the pressure its taking me to push this on, and worse, pulling it off - no amount of wiggling is doing it.
