How best to clean awning

Any tips, ideas on how to clean the awning? Mine has dead flies bits of leaf etc. stuck to it, cleaning underneath is not such a problem but then once it's rolled up, it picks up the bits from the top. Bit frightened I might damage it (only 1 month old).

Hi Elaine, we just use warm soapy water to clean it, also try not to roll the awning in with leaves on it (especially if wet) as it will stain the awning material if left rolled up for a period of time.

Hi Elaine,
Same as Martin. Wind out awning fully and drop legs as far as possible. With a soft bristle sweeping brush give it a good going over with soapy water and allow to dry.
Even when not wet, always worth flicking off any detritus before winding in.
Don`t do it on a windy day !!

To be honest, just jet washed it... done a few times and wiped down with a microfibre towel afterwards.
