How to remove bench seat?

Can anyone advise me how to remove the bench seat or at least move it all the way forwards? I need to use my Cali to transport a valuable Grandfather Clock (2.15m long). Any help appreciated!

Why don't you put seat back down to make the bed and put the clock on the bed?

Agree we did that to transport a fridge freezer .

Agree with the above info's, but otherwise if you must remove the bench, then the lever on the right of the bench (the one you must be using to slide the bench forwards for sleeping), will also allow you to slide the bench all the way forward on the rails. The only thing that could be stopping you do this is if there are 'stopper' bolts within the rails - if this is the case then they'll have to be removed first. To remove the bench entirely, slide the bench forward until the contact points, of bench to rail, are within the wide sections of the rail - from there you can (and I advise you to do with two people), lift the bench upwards and then out the side door...
