When it's time for the University run we can get it all in.
Mind you, we had to take out the mattress roll and slide the seat forward 4 inches.
Transformed from luxury camper to transporter work horse, just like that!

Ours will be doing the same next week. Then it’ll be our hotel. Going to use the upstairs bed mattress to protect the units and might remove the seat stop to get it further forwards.

Yup us too - Sat 22nd. Our second year and we'll be camping overnight as well as we'll no doubt be called upon to deliver the beloved child to the supermarket for a mega shop (which I WON'T be paying for this year!!) on the Sunday morning. We moved house in the Cali last month as well. Awesome vehicles!

So far mine has been a daily commuter car, kitchen/diner/lounge/bedroom on 2 camping trips and a dog ambulance (pooch thankfully recovered). These vehicles certainly are amazingly versatile!

Sounds very familiar! We spent our first night upstairs as we had to ditch the mattresses for extra room. We were so tired we slept like logs. We duly did a Supermarket run which might keep him going for the next term!
It would have been better if there had not been confusion with the campsite so we had no electric hook up. We are surprised how little impact having no electric made to us. No Nespresso coffee or toast but instant coffee and breakfast bars were
fine.
The journey back was a dream as usual. Love our Call!

I had a weekend trip to Saddleworth this weekend, Mum not well again....

Saturday was the journey from hell, 260 miles to Sis in Law's taking nearly 8 hours. That night, absolutely shattered, I said early good nights to the family around the dinner table, climbed into Alfie, my lovely warm bed, dimmed lighting, reading for an hour or so, ..

peace, quiet, my little cocoon, my safe haven..... Glorious.

Oh GJ I know what you mean! Life has been so absolutely awful and manic recently with moving house, dealing with poorly parents etc etc. This weekend after we drop The Boy back at uni, we're going to schlep over to meet the Parents-In-Law who, at 79 and 76, have just bought an N reg VW Leisuredrive hi top. They are so excited. They've suffered over the last few years with dodgy hearts, but one has had some kind of laser surgery which has cured the problem, and the other had open heart surgery in June. They are now raring to go again and missing van life, hence this spontaneous purchase. I'm happy for them and can't wait to see their new van. I also can't wait to cuddle up in my cosy roof bed with my little furry friend (aka the husband) and imagine all the awfulness of the last month away. Sanctuary …..

I love my Cali because....
I lord it up high, I take the kitchen to the beach or any destination for that matter or course, I park up and relax in comfort and warmth almost begging for there to be some kind of traffic standstill for a couple of hours sometimes :embarrased

basically it makes me smug.

It’s mine.:D

There´s loads of stuff that goes wrong with it and i fancy
the girl who works on the reception at my dealer :)
