We love this camp site a bit above the lake, more into the mountains, at Les Combes, towards de Col de Tamié. We have been there several times, with different Calis. A Lot quieter than all the tourist hubbub on the lake...:

Or along the Brienzer See. Good to take the old steam train up to the Rothorn:

And then there is this beautiful place, Camping Hostetten in Ennetmoos, above the Vierwaldstätter See:

We came back from Annecy a few weeks ago, we stayed at:

camping LA RAVOIRE lake annecy

This small and friendly campsite has indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, water slides and play areas, together with a range of services for a successful holiday.

Which was really good, recently refurbished facility blocks. Restaurant on site was good, staff lovely, easy for the bike path, and a short walk to the lake.

We also saw this place:

Family friendly 5 star campsite, located in Doussard in Haute Savoie in a natural setting on the shores of Lake Annecy and in the heart of the Alps, with swimming pool and private beach

That's perfect, thank you both so much for your help, It doesn't come up on google maps as a campsite so I would have missed that, but it's exactly what we were looking for. It looks great and I'm about to book now for mid August, so hope they have space. I'll also try out the pizza place!
