Of course, I need to buy 0w30 viscosity, VW 50700, preferably LL, and full synthetic,... that is clear. My engine is DNA 150hp. I was set on using a VW brand and changing it every 10k to 12k kms and once a year in minimum. However, I realised now that VW sources the oil from different manufactures. I already changed oil at 10k and VW oil was manufactured by Shell in Germany. Now, on the store shelfs is the "same" oil but manufactured in France.... from unspecified supplier. There are maybe some other oil producers involved? This leads me to question consistency of quality. Maybe I should consider another proven brand and stick with it. Brand which is not likely to have fake/counterfit circulation?

With 10k - 12 k kms oil changes probably most of the oils will do a good job. But which will do the best job? I know, impossible question to answer because so many of us have their favourite brands or strong experiences. I usually do what the manufacturer says.... in my Alfa Romeo Stelvio I only use for 6 years now Petronas Selenia oil, in a Volvo Castrol Edge, exactly to the specifications. AFAIK VW does not endorse a particular brand, does it?

What are you using?

I will go with Liqui Moly 4210, it is local to me. :)

I use walnut oil on the chopping board, silicon oil on the rubber seals and the correct specification as per the handbook in the gearbox, engine, air conditioning system and the brakes.

I use castrol 5 30 long life. Change it every year. So castrol 5 30 short life really. No issues. 204 hp 2016 engine
