hahaha, you're right! I look forward to see some more inside-pictures of different T5 Californias and their storage solutions.

Good hour this afternoon. Had previously bought a Porta Potti together with Cali specific base but had to remove the shelf. I'd read many posts on how to refit the shelf above the loo which involved drilling new holes for the sockets. 1. I don't like the current socket/brackets and 2 I'm not drilling any holes in my Cali. Solution? I bought a small strip of angled aluminium from B & Q and taped it to the frame with grey duck tape (suggest you use white) and job done. Quite pleased with myself. Yes I know the grey tape is not too neat but it's out of sight and was a bit fiddly.

Won't the tape come undone in the hot weather (if we get any)?

No idea - I was thinking of glueing the shelf brackets - I'll (stick ;)) with the tape for now but good point so I'll report back if it does.

Guessing tape won't hold .
Drilled more than one hole alreay in my Cali...
It is no problem if you think how and where you do it...
Installed a safe to involving drilling , no prob!
If you not keen on drilling just take some plywood say 10 to 12 mm left and right against the sides of the wardrobe with some silicone or tec7 and put a shelf on it.... done...easy as that!

I use a Popaloo or the campsite toilets or the hedge. :thumb

Mine travels in it's own bespoke cover in the habitation unit.

Proves to be very useful for those of us who cannot just turn our backs to the traffic and use a hedge

That's fine at least not in the Kitchen cupboard.:thumb

IMG_6467.JPG Just called at B and Q and bought two storage boxes which fit perfectly. I've tried a variety and these seem to be ideal. 2 for ÂŁ30

i find the lid on a box not handy .....
An open box is better , just pull out a little ( as a drawer) and take what you need , shove back in , done!
If there is a lid on top you need to pull the whole box out and place it on the ground( mud , wet gras ,....) open the top , take out , lid back on and lift box back in Cali.
To much handling , in rain or cold that rear booth door need to be closed asap!
Just my 50cent...;)
I got three boxes in under the shelf , two without lid / top used as discribed and one with a lid that holds stuff that is not so much needed sits behind the other two more out of reach
One has a lid/top and if i place two up on eachother we got a xtra outdoor worktable;)

I managed to find a sundis box that is long enough to go all the way to the seat in the back ,80x40 and 34 high. And little wheels
As I found with the shorter boxes, I had to get one out, pop it on the floor, then bend and stretch to get the one behind it out. Only to discover the box I w and was the one on the other side!
How deep is the b and q one hotel? As I could only get one of the others

Could be language diffrence

Edit : see now ...need to ask @dayslikethis

I have 6 clear plastic storage boxes which exactly fill the space under the rear mattress/shelf. Perfect fit. I originally bought them for my T4 Cali but the T5 is pretty much identical (as is the T6). Went to a storage box store and tried every size until I got just the right one. Packing and unpacking is a breeze and they can be stored under the camper when we're camped up. They block the wind and they're waterproof.

Agreed - we don't use the lids - work well on long trips

Sorry, I just can't get my head around having s toilet next to the cutlery draw.:stop
that's how things are in a cali : what to think about sleeping with your head only a few inches away from a gas tank ?

Don't get bugs from a gas tank.
I use a Popaloo, and that's not kept in the kitchen cupboard. Sorry, just don't see the similarities.
Gas has to be kept in the gas locker, toilet doesn't have to be kept in the kitchen cupboard.

And I don't get bugs from porta potti , it is very good sealed and very hygienic, no one can even smell it is there . I guess things are different with a popaloo maybe. Many cali owners here have the porta potti in the cupboard , never heard about problems with that..
Any food you keep in your cali will attract bugs not the porta potti... :) that is my experience so far.
