Hi,
(possibly co-incidence, since some rear body work two weeks ago) I'm getting intermittent error warnings on the dash (and failure of the systems): ACC, Start/Stop, Front accident warning. First time it failed for the duration of two short journeys, then worked for the third. Next day fail then not within the same journey. Also hearing a faint high pitch whistle sometimes I've not heard before.

Any ideas appreciated :)

Possible ABS sensor, commonly rear wheel but not always.
You need a Carista OBD reader to identify which sensor.

ABS sensor connections also a possibility especially if the bodyworks were in the rear corner areas. Access to connection is behind the light clusters i believe.

Hi
how much should i expect to pay for the diagnostic test, and will it detect the problem even if the intermittent issue is not presenting at the time of the test?

Dealership could charge £150+/- and may not show anything if intermittent.

I wonder if they disconnected the battery when doing the work - can lead to odd errors. Our's went flat when away and the AA chat told us we needed to drive it around to reset some of them and others you needed to turn the steering point to point to reset.

Interesting. Can't do any harm.

The ABS module will store the faults, with the right diagnostic tool you can read all occurrences, new and historic before clearing the module memory and resetting, if it is an abs sensor it can be an implausible signal or no signal, no signal usually means new sensor, implausible could be that the reluctor ring is dirty or broken, hopefully a new sensor is all you need. The steering sensor is usually denoted by an amber steering wheel warning light on the dash, that usually clears after 20-30 yards of driving
