I can’t find the relevant thread, and the handbook always confuses... the door pillar button can be red or orange. Which colour for the sensor is off? Crazy to use red and orange.... green for on like most power points would make sense

Thanks

Orange for off ..... and can only be activated from the drivers door with all other doors closed.

does not work if you try to press it off or on from inside the van.

Thank you both. Must try to be less Mr Spock with logic!!

It’s a double negative sort of thing, but why!?

And I thought it stopped the stopping not started the stopping stopping....

I think the stop/start button starts the stopping of the stop/start, so I’m not sure who I agree with now.

On the original question it does make complete sense on the interior alarm sensor now, so thanks both - one of those things I didn’t know either & continually forget that I need to look in the manual for. Red is illuminated & Orange Is On (or Off, depending on how you look at it ... :thumb).

DymoTape at the ready.

I have found the easiest way of testing whether or not it\s on or off is to throw my two small grandchildren in the van whilst they are having a fight. :shocked

This is how i deactivate internal sensor for ferry crossing.
1 - Ignition on (dashboard lights lit)
2 - All doors closed apart from drivers
3 - Switch ignition off
4 - Activate switch to show orange
5 - Remove ignition key
6 - Close drivers door and lock
7 - This is the way i was shown when picked up van 11 years ago

I was sure from the title that we had another thread discussing toilet habits. Slightly disappointed (not).

I'm sure I read somewhere you could just lock the van with the key and that would deactivate the motion sensors

Or Double click on the remote.

I take ignition key out then press button (light changes colour) & close door and then press remote to lock doors.
OK doing that way, and no alarm activation on ferry, 4 return crossings.

maybe on yours...
Not mine, either. Strangely (or not) VW cars deactivate the motion sensing with a double click on the remote,

Strange they have disabled that on the T6. Do you have the capability of closing front windows via the remote - Press and Hold Lock or Opening windows when unlocking?

Yes, that works fine.

yea, comfort operation is fine the double press only disables the deadlocks.
But more annoying is the fact that the b pillar button also disables the deadlocks along with the the motion sensors and the tilt (anti-tow) sensor.
