Hi Folks,
My wife has a hair curling stick thing that is 39w but the invertor won't heat it up, if the invertor is 150w I'm guessing mine is shot?
Our mozy killer works and so does her hair drier but only on cold, the strange thing (to me lol) is my laptop that is 40w and charges!
Second guess of the day is a new invertor will be silly money?

Most regular inverters aren't suitable for heating based devices, they don't deliver the right kind of power. I think you may need a sine wave inverter for that kind of thing but dont quote me, same for rechargeable toothbrushes etc they dont work either.

Best bet is to get some 12v hair straighteners or get on hookup.

I just had a google and noticed GHD straighteners can have issues even with Sine Wave inverters, so maybe inverters arent the way to go.

I was going to try her GHD’s so that’s out the window as well then.
Thanks for the advice.
