We are delighted to announce that JB II was delivered back to us last Thursday from Scotland. The garage was most helpful, phoned us every day to keep us updated and are arranging the re-imbursement of our hotel bills. But what we cannot understand is that almost 2 weeks later, we haven't heard a word from VW Customer Services although we contacted them several times. A courtesy call would have been nice to reassures us. Thank you all for your words and advice, meant a lot when we were stranded
 
It seems that the VW Garage has done what it should and thats probably why no call from VWCS.
Now you have your vehicle back, get out the map books and ferry timetables and start planning your next trip. Things happen, that's life.:thumb
 
I am really pleased that you are reunited. It's been a bad experience, now as the gassy one says, get that smile back on your face :D

Would have expected some old fashioned courtesy, especially from VW but there you are
 
What cash? Under warranty and Hotel expenses being refunded.
Customer Services sort out problems but everything has been sorted by the VW Garage.
From what JB II posted VWCS were phoned because they needed a courtesy car and to enquire about Hotel expenses. But if VW Assistance had been phoned in the first case then they would have sorted everything as the vehicle was under warranty.

We didn't think that we needed to phone VW Assistance as we were in a VW Garage. VW would need to clarify this for both customers and garages. Now that we have phoned them several times, it would have been nice to get a return call from them to check that everything was ok etc
