Kent - Barcelona - Kent

Good evening,

Looking for some advice/tips from anybody who has travelled a similar route.

We are thinking Kent to La Rochelle on day one, moving on to Barcelona on day two - we need to get to Barcelona within 48hrs of leaving Kent.

We are in Barcelona for a day or two, so looking for a recommendations for Barcelona and a good route back, which can take up to four days - happy to stay over somewhere different each night.

When we went from Lewisham to Blanes we left home after school on a Friday. Drove to somewhere around Clermont-Ferrand, slept at a motorway aire, then arrived at Blanes at tea time on day 2.

makeup some time by leaving late evening on the day prior to the travel, cross the channel, drive for a few hours/as long as you safely can, stop over at an Aire and then start your journey the next day morning.

We left Friday evening from home in Newbury. Crossed over and stopped for the night near about Rouen. A leisurely start next day morning and by evening we had crossed San-sebastian and stopped the night at a services near Leon. ... so distance-wise very much possible to get to Barcelona.

On the way back, drive across the Pyrenees - if driving, nature and camping is your thing ... otherwise lots of good villages on the way to spend some time
