Must say when we set off on Friday night from Stamford the weather was looking bit grim, by time we reached edge of peak district i notice snow on the floor!!! We were staying in site close to Buxton and we were really shocked to find around an 1" of snow at camp site (must say california handled great not issues at all). We decided against driving into field and asked if we could camp at side of a barn.
So getting onto main subject the Khyam Cosi:
First impressions seems good quality and well made, the bag it comes in could be better as the lid folds over which is hard when the cosi is back in the bag. It took around 10 mins for me to fit but this will reduce with experience no doubt!
The passenger side slides into the existing rail on the california and fits nicely, and once raised seems good fit around roof etc. The rear and two front scraps on the fixed awning side slide into the rail and the middle three can be fitted with either Velcro (which is supplied) or using metal hooks which I used. The rear has two long straps that either go through bike rack or inside rear tailgate.
Only issue I had were the straps with the metal hooks needed to be very short and they are hard to get tight. That said all works fine and no flapping or issues over the two night we stayed.
I will try and work out how to post pictures I took on the Sat night there is still some snow on the ground but we were very cosy at night and kids sleep in roof were too hot Sat night as left heating on all night!
As for Peak District had beautiful day on the Sat and did 6 mile walk along The Roaches and surrounding area.
