Has anyone used the Khyam Sun Canopy?

Looks quite neat, obviously not as sturdy as the wind out awnings, but they are a lot cheaper & I also figure, as I use my California as a daily driver, I could do without the extra wind resistance from permanent attachment of the wind out awning.

Yup, got one. Good bit of kit. Poles need pegging out, so you are limited to surfaces you can bash a peg into unless you carry something heavy to anchor the guy lines to.

A couple of questions

1) How waterproof is it?
2) Does it just thread into the existing channel on the camper?

Mine filled with water nicely overnight last year! The awning threads onto the awning channel, with our without the VW rubber strip. (hence have also used it on the nearside while drive away tent attached on the drivers side).
