Leaking roof pump ?

A dark stain appeared above the drivers sun visor which clearly was not water penetration

The VW dealer (Breeze Totton) has diagnosed to be hydraulic fluid leaking from the roofs pump.

Thankfully it's a warranty repair for a new pump and headliner.

Out of curiosity, has anyone else had this fault ?

Our 3 1/2 year old Cali has just developed a roof that drops down on one side after about an hour or so.

I took it into VW dealer and it going to cost.....£1700 for a new pump on one side. Feeling a bit sick as it is out of warranty. VW are making 39% "brand Contribution" or it would have cost £2500.
