Hi, I have been away for a week. On my return the centre console of the van tells me the Batteries are Empty and need charging. This is only the leisure batteries as the van starts fine. So, I put the van on electrical hookup a couple of days ago, but I am still getting the same message - Batteries are Empty.

I have had the problem before, last time I had to take the van to a dealer who had it for the day and told me they had to do a 'reset' and then everything was OK. I suspected the drain on the batteries was the dash cam. So, the next time I was away for a week I disconnected the dash cam and on my return everything was OK.

I have just got back from a weekend at the Goodwood members meeting (Thursday- Tuesday effectively) and have found the dreaded message waiting for me. I forgot to disconnect the dash cam!!!!

Does anyone have any idea how to reset the charging/control system as I suspect it is only the electronics that are confused? Or any other advice would be very welcome and very much appreciated!

When I measure the batteries voltages last time they were charged, I haven't repeated the exercise this time. Well not yet

Where is your Dashcam connected?, Think the 12v socket on the dashboard is powered by the starter battery not leisure batteries. I have my dashcam plugged into that because it is also live all the time so dashcam is will start if van is banged. My van is left for 5 days without driving at times no issues.

Thanks, mine is wired in to Leisure batteries but should switch off if voltage falls

I have solved the problem. Well to be honest an hour and a bit on the forum solved the problem with posts from @EMcK and @Loz which suggested removing fuses 5-8 from fusebox by steering column. It has worked a treat, the Control Panel is now registering and EHU is continuing to charge! Many thanks to the aforementioned members!
