Leisure battery disconnect

We are getting organised to put the van in storage for the winter this weekend and last year I switched off the isolation switch for the winter but the battery was completely drained after the winter.
Is there any implications if I completely disconnect the battery terminals for the few months until next April?

You will need to look after the starter battery in any event. If possible just go on hookup during long unused periods.
