Hey everyone, sorry if this has already been asked but I wondered if anyone else has seen this issue before. We’ve had it as long as I can remember, when we have the bedframe on the higher setting in the boot, it somehow will often work its way loose and pop out on the left-hand side next to the cupboard with the gas et cetera please see attached pictures. It’s quite useful if you have something big that doesn’t normally fit under the bedframe, but it’s heavy and you don’t want it on top necessarily. Van is built 2016.
Many thanks!!!

Not a common problem, but as I also faced it, there are some workarounds and a fix.
The problem itself seems to be due to a misaligned corner holders on the van. Did try to fix these but it is a bigger task than just an alignment so dropped it.
If you look carefully at the fixing mechanism under the metal bracket , (this is a pic from my van)
Option 1:
The nut (2) has a few threads where it can be moved out. This is what you should try as the first option. This enables the full mechanism to move out and therefore increase the reach into the holes that cradle the pin.
In your case, it seems that both locks seem to have spare threads to move out the mechanism by a few mm. Do for both and see if that works.
see below pic of the right side lock from your van. At location (3) you can see the spare threads.
This worked for me.
Failing that, Option 2 :
Remove the outside nut (2) and use the mechanism without it. It will give more reach but may make it difficult to operate the convoluted mechanism.
Failing that, Option 3:
It is good that it is metal. Any decent ironmonger just needs to weld a small ~4 mm piece of metal at the end of that bolt that sticks out.
Failing that, Option 4:
Just replace that convoluted mechanism with an M8 or M9 nut and bolt combnation (I think it is M8/9 nut bolt). As long as you don't have to regularly move the frame, this will be a good option.
Do update on how you get along.
