Some of you will meet Loz Jr (Chris) this coming weekend at the Slimbridge meet.
Well Chris and his cousin Aleatha have decided to do a charity paddle from Sharpness to Gloucester on the canal on the 28th April (this month).
As some of you know he has had open heart surgery as a baby and more recently had 2 large rods and 16 screws in his back to correct an ongoing curvature of the spine that was making life unpleasant for him.
Despite all this he has been a long term crew member of the SARA inshore lifeboat.
Following his back surgery SARA's liability insurers were not happy with him going out on the rescue boat so he is now only shore based.
To improve his back strength he took up Stand Up Paddle boarding and has now undertaken to do a charity paddle the length of the Sharpness to Gloucester Canal.
He is good friends with the Tri Force police dogs team and has decided to do this paddle for their charity WAGs for retired police dogs.
Please see and like their facebook page; https://www.facebook.com/Charity-Pa...or-WAGs-Retired-Police-Dogs-1573098312769751/
and also if you feel generous, please consider a small donation at; https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/wags-retiredpolicedogs
thank you for reading. @Loz
