This can be checked by switching on the ignition and selecting “settings” from the Aux Heater menu. The message will confirm this time has been reached. The handbook advises that you need to drive the vehicle for a minimum of 30 meters at a speed of at least walking pace. Handy to know if your on a campsite and had a drink. You’ll get some funny looks but better than risking driving on the road.

Before you get sloshed, set the heater to "continuous" mode to run it without time limits. This is the mode to use when camping. The "immediate" mode that you're using is meant only for warming the vehicle a few minutes before driving away.
