Missing decals

I'm considering buying a 2007 California Comfortline in Germany. There is no California decal or TDi decal on the rear tailgate. Is this unusual? Everything else including registration documents etc. looks fine. He's a reputable dealer selling VW's for the last 25 years.

May also be indicative of rear end damage/repair... worth checking for repairs carefully and negotiating accordingly.

Also removed the Tdi from new ....useless info and a dirt collector.
But i added some other letters....some know witchones....

The California badge is only £13 + vat from TPS I bought a new one for mine but havnt fitted it yet. The TDI ones won't cost much either.
