Hi,
Thought I would share the modification made to our California to create a bit more space.
We never use the bed down below and always sleep up top. This modification uses a shortened back parcel shelf allowing the seat to move back 20cm or so.. Here is a picture with the rear seat in the standard position as far back as it can go against the parcel shelf
You can see that access to the rear wardrobe is restricted.
Here is the rear seat with the shortened parcel shelf. Note clear access to the wardrobe and the extra space in front if the rear seat
Here is a picture of the shorted shelf. It still hinges and has loaned some components from the standard shelf so it locks in place like the standard shelf
