So everyone was super helpful helping me with great recommendations last week when booking a Peak District trip.

This weekend I’m staying at a site close to Glastonbury for a couple nights… anyone have any must see sights or walks etc?

Thanks in advance x

The Glastonbury Tor, (walk from the bottom) note the lane from the bottom to the top is a single lane track with no passing places , no parking at all , do not attempt to drive up it. park away from the bottom and walk up one of the routes.

Glastonbury Town - park near the Abbey - Magdalene Street - see tourist website + also lots of detailed walks

Cheddar Gorge various walks through and above the Valley.- several good Pubs , cheese factory. reservoir circular walk - see tourist website

Wookey Hole - not strictly a walk, nice set of caves, good if the weathers not great ! - see attraction website

Wells Cathedral and ancient town (good food market on Wednesday & Saturday) - see tourist website

Stone Henge, wood henge etc on the way or when returning

Stone henge : National Heritage site free to members
If Pre booked with National Trust also free (must pre book in advance)

Medip national Park

Cheddar Gorge is good for a visit. Thatchers Cider Farm used to be not far from there as well.
There is a fantastic Thai restaurant in Cheddar as well (if you like that?) :)

If you go into Glastonbury seek out a coffee-cocktail-bar-come-restaurant called Fara, on Benedict street. It’s about 10 minutes walk from the High Street, or park close by. The lunchtime food is on another level, and it’s not exclusively veggie, but the veggie dishes are amazing. Get there early - very popular.

Go to Roger Wilkins cider farm in Mudgley, it’s a very traditional Somerset experience.
