this week at lidl they have house door size mossie screens at £4.99 with Velcro for the sides and magnets to hold the 2 halves in place,im going to alter them to fit the van windows first then perhaps the door, the mesh looks too big to stop the Scottish midge compared to my midge hood but 2 layers might work. we shall see

Think same ones 3.99 at b&m or bargain buys both advertised on box 'as seen on tv', also check poundland or poundworld, theirs dont have magnets but still velcro strips tho but useful screens and seems similar to brandrups £120.00+ flyout mesh.

Seen those boxes here in Belgium also , as you mention " seen on TV" ...
Had them in my hand in a cheap store called "Action" but not bought them .
Maybe return and try them out....like to have something for the sliding door....

I had a single mosquito net for camping which i found in a cupboard - got some nice magnets from Campervantastic and job done. This is after a very hot summer on continent.

A project for winter, me thinks!

Having suffered midges for 2 nights over the weekend, I realise that to go north and sit outside, I'll need protection!

I've been searching the web for a good midge shelter but I get the gist they're not up to much, so abandoned thoughts of that. Thus the handmade version! I'm a dab hand with a pole and guy ropes!

...and my point is: the photo of the pyramid in Alaska!
