I would like to carry a light weight motor scooter on the back of my T5 Cali and was wondering if anyone had already fitted a scooter carrying rack? I have read of Motor homers doing this but I'm sure if it's possible with the Cali's? Any advice or experiences would be welcome.

As long as Bike + Rack weigh no more than 100 Kgm on the fixed towbar ( ?60 Kgm or 100 Kgm on removable ) then there should be no problem. However I would only do it with a VW fitted and coded Towbar.

Thanks Welshgas, most scooters I've looked at are very close to or over100kg! Watling tow bars have a form which once filled in should calculate the max weight possible. However, I reckon your on the money! More work to be done before I commit. Thanks for the thread showing the VW with the tray and scooter, it's exactly what I would like to do. Thanks again.
