I am new to social networking but I find this site most friendly, I purchased my Cali. September 2006 it was registered June of that year. It was a retirement present to myself to enable me to have the freedom to travel as and when but mostly for my hobby building and running model steam engines ( my interest steam ploughing)I have built three engines and their equipment in 2" scale I go to Steam events all over UK. Which the Cali. enables you to do it is the only vehicle I have purchased in my life I have any affection for. :D

What a nice post Harry.

Are you going to post a date when you are next showing off your engineeering? I am fascinated by it.

Like you I bought my cali as a retirement present and like you I am beginning to feel real affection for it.

Welcome!

We went to the great Dorset steam fair for the first time, last year. The kids enjoyed it very much, but it was one of the dustiest places I have ever been to. Incredible amounts of dust in the air, everything was covered. I kept thinking how lucky we were *not* to be camping at the event, your tent/van would never have been dust free again.

Thank you for your kind words, my first official outing this year will be at Bidford-on-Avon it is in the vale of Evesham around seven miles from Stratford-upon-Avon the dates are 17/18 May
I will be displaying my Kitson & Hewitson Clip drum Ploughing engine and my five tine reversible Harrow using a single engine and a John Fowler self moving Anchor all built by me as I am new to this site and to computing in general ( first computer also as retirement present)have not learned to put pictures on site.
Best Regards Harry
