I’ve given my beach 6.0 2019 (indium Grey) a nasty grind from the corner of a wall (rear passenger wheel arch extending to panel ). A couple of dents and some bad paintwork damage. Probably needs a pro, but the purse strings are tight so I’m thinking I might touch up interim.

Looking for recommendations got paint matches, and any general advise.

With this, and the cricket it’s been a tough day.

A pro might not be as expensive as you think! We had an incident in early 2024, when a car smashed through our garden wall sending a shower of masonry across the drive, some impacting a couple of panels of the Cali, and bumper trim. Some scratches / scores caused by bricks looked terrible. Although the costs were all settled by the drivers insurer, the paintwork and plastic trim repairs were in my opinion quite reasonable, at around £350. The cost to rebuild 2 walls, replace log stores, metal railings, a tree and bushes came in a LOT more, north of £12k!

Good to know, sounds reasonable. Don’t suppose the repair unit was near Exeter were they?

Just claim on insurance.
I don’t think it would cover my excess, or he with it for my no claims. Crazy how much we pay for insurance but how unhelpful it is for minor incidents

My wife caught the rear side panel / wheel arch on a gate post. Went through insurance via VW approved repair shop. Repair Cost was £1200 . Excess was £500.

Premium remained same for following year, and then reduced year after that.

Don’t get too worried about impact on NCB.
