Last week I decided to became a member. We own a cali 2008 since 2013. This is the fourth vw, and three of them have been camping cars, 1972, 1982 (westfalia) and now this. The fourth was a multivan, 2001, used to travel in England and Wales 2012. This summer we (me, my wife and our Irish Terrier) are going to visit Scotland in June.

Welcome to the forum!
Scotland in June should be lovely.
What do you like too see? Towns and cities, mountains, islands or something else?

Welcome from a fellow Irish Terrier owner!

Glen Coe is a great place to visit. This may sound strange but pray for rain overnight, the streams and waterfalls come alive, there is a C&CC site just prior to Fort William, great site and there is a National trust visitor centre next door, has a great cafe with free WiFi. Cable car up to the Ben Nevis range. Steam train through the mountains, as seen on Harry Potter. Spectacular views. "The Jacobite".

Thanks,
We enjoy walking a lot, and in good surroundings with views. Our dog could go/run for hours, so that´s what we like to do. Towns and cities are not our aim when we are travelling with our Cali, but small towns could be interesting for short stops. We have booked camping sites starting just north of Edinburgh, Inverness, Skye and then back via Lock Lomond. Since we have a dog with us, the easies way to go to Great Britain is the passing Calais-Dover, so we should spend some days in England, perhaps Lake District.

Thanks, we have planned to pass.

Go and walk to Dunvegan, a coral beach to the North of Skye and go up the hill at the back of the beach to look at the view. Really lovely. Walk from Elgol onSkye towards loch corusk. Gets a bit tricky towards the end but no need to go all the way along.
Northumbria is a wonderful county to drive through with stops at Alnick for example where Harry potter was filmed. You could do this on the way down and the lakes on the way up.
