I have finally finished building a rear slide out kitchen for our new 2022 Beach. I decided to build it myself as we wanted a caravan type two burner cooker that we could run on butane and cook either in the rear or use on the table. I also built it to fit our 35L Engel fridge, fit a sink, storage and a 20L water tank and pump.
The beauty of the dual sliding door Beach is that it is our Campervan with the kitchen in, my economical day vehicle with the kitchen sitting in the garage, I can fit my two additional captain chairs when needed to seat 7 or as it is at the moment, a big load space.
Next is to fit a slim 100 AH battery at the rear of the kitchen and 2 of Roger Donaghue’s 100 W solar panels when they arrive next week.
I must say that I am surprised how fantastic the Cali is to drive, either around town or out in the bush. Several California Club members refer to it ‘putting a smile on your dial’ and it certainly does that.

This could be useful.

Looks fab, and lucky you living somewhere with such great weather. Using a rear kitchen is an acquired taste here in the lake district in February, but braver folk than I manage it.

Perfect for WA but a bit dubious in South Wales. Have to enjoy it while you can.

Hi, Interested in the pullout fridge slide. How do you protect the fridge power cable? I'm trying to find out how people do this, ...or if they don't care then there is a risk of it being pinched and cut by the sliding in and out movement.
I know you can buy like spiral cable wrap, is this the solution or is there something else?
Thanks
