Hi All
Had our silver Cali 140 SE for 4 years now but only just found this forum while searching for where to find a new hinge for the cooker/sink top which broke when my wife shut it with a chopping board jammed underneath! (Found the part number on here BTW).
The van now has 27k and has just had its 2nd service where the dealer spotted that the right OS spring was broken :x Total cost for the service, spring and new wipers F & R was £450 inc VAT.
Other problems we've had are air bag light coming on twice, the first time due to me fitting a bluetooth accessory and the second due to the loom catching under the drivers seat; and fairly rapid tyre wear on the front.
Our first overnight trip was to Snowdonia where it blew a gale and poured down all night. We "slept" in the roof and were aware of fine moisture droplets on the windward side but no serious water ingress. Following this we ordered a Vanorak (we call it a tea cosy) but TBH find it more trouble than it's worth, being as there's only two of us it's easier to sleep downstairs and put the roof down if the weather is bad.
It mostly gets used as a day van, or we mix staying at hotels with camping depending on the weather and what we find. Longest continuous trip sleeping in it was up to the Hebrides where it coped admirably.
Look forward to browsing the forum to see what other people are up to in their Cali's.
