Hi all

I’ve been browsing the forum for a couple of weeks as we’re hopefully close to buying a nearly new Cali Ocean. First camper for us, though we’ve been regular tent campers and have borrowed my mum’s Murvi for some nights away recently.

Kids have left home. A few years to retirement, both with busy jobs. A Cali will allow us to grab time away when we can, as we plan for longer trips.

Just trying to work out which Cali!

Hello and welcome. Good luck on your hunt for a Cali Ocean. We have ordered ours, and are getting very excited at the prospect of picking it up!

After three months of research, sorting finance etc we pickup up our Ocean on Saturday afternoon at Breeze, who were a pleasure to deal with.

Got home by 6pm, and were roof-up at a local campsite by 8pm!

2023 Cali Ocean; 150; 2,000 miles, Ascot Grey.

Came with the power sliding door and a fifth seat, both of which I could have done without - but not complaining.

Inevitably, the roof leaks though. I can't see what version of bellows it is, but the seams don't look to be taped.

Most of the night was dry, but rain started at about 6am. By 8am we had drips from the front horizontal seam, and some pooling on the roof ledges. It wasn't even heavy/driving rain, with little wind, so I can see that full night of rain would have meant a lot of anxiety about electrics, staining etc.

Breeze did say that this might be an issue with the 2023 model, and that this would be covered by the warranty. I will email them tomorrow.

In the meantime, 48 hours in, it's a beautiful thing to own and drive, and we're really looking forward to getting away in it every opportunity we can.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm!

Great post and congratulations on your new van. You’ve done your homework and I’m sure will get any issues sorted.
Being located where you are you are ideally placed to come along to my Back of Beyond meet in November. Ringwood. It’s on the forum but if you can’t see it message me. A great opportunity to meet other group members and see other vans.
Have fun!!

I will look out for that. Thank you Gillian!
