Hello you lovely lot!:kiss

We are thinking about taking the Cali away over the NY period for 2-3 days & wondered if anyone had any recommendations - must be dog friendly!

Thank you :thumb

The New forest.
I'm not conversant with the camp sites yet but I know they range from mixing it up with the Ponies to sites with all the amenities.

Hi @Lisalou285,

There are endless options for new Year camping and, using a filter function on some of the campsite apps/websites will let you see which are open all year round. I'd be inclined to look at something small like a C&MC Certified Location.

One of my favourite New Year was in the Lake District near Hesket Newmarket. Although we didn't have the van then it was a lovely area with a lively pub for New Year's Eve. There are two nice looking CLs close to there.

The only winter camping in the New Forest I know of are CLs. Both are near Brockenhurst which is a lovely area for dog walks and exploring. Also, there are a couple establishments that will no doubt have fine New Year's celebrations going on.

We stayed at Bath Marina last year. Couple of nice pubs close by, walk along the canal for 20 mins and you’re in Bath. Bus stop outside as an alternative. Had a lovely couple of nights.

Reference my previous post I'd also never forgive myself if I didn't point this out now.
I'd hate for people to take this out of context though and start running scared.
There are an awful lot of dogs running the forest and all the other areas on a daily basis with no problems what so ever and as you can see its not exclusive to the New forest. It's just that it has had a lot of attention in recent years.
