Observations on DPF regen and leisure batteries

Hi, after 18 month of my t6.1 Ocean I observed this:
DPF Regen starts almost every 300-320km (driving on motorways) or 200km (driving in mountains with long ascent/descent). As to say about every 20litres.
During regen start/stop doesn't work, rpm about 1000, V at 14.4 (a lot of ampere in recharging batteries). It last about 11mins.
The annoying thing is that 15-20 minutes before regen it starts to discharge batteries a lot (-20A/-25A), maybe needs to make space for the high charge rate during regen. Is there no way to stop this discharging (max charge button has no effect).
As transporter has only engine battery I don't understand why Ocean the discharge extends to leisure batteries.
It's annoying as, for Murphy rule, often this process of discharge occurs near to destination, after having topped to 100% my leisure batteries.

Anyone has ideas to avoid (I think no)?
Thanks

I concur with all of the above. Only last week were we nearing a Dartmouth stop for a few nights without hookup and I had max charge selected for the last hour or so of the journey, only to be proper disappointed to see big big numbers being subtracted 15mins before we stopped and then the tell-tale fans of an aborted regen once we did. As you say, Murphy's Law eh? The ability to foresee the need for a regen and bring it forward 15mins would be useful, I think?

or anticipate it, last time when I saw discharge I had to drive over for 20minutes.....the relais of leisure batteries shoudl stay open before regen..

I guess regen would occur at different points for each user but if you have a Carista obd device you would be able to force a regen when it suited you, ie as you leave home. You have to open the bonnet to get it into the right mode to enable the regen but once going it should still leave time for max charge before arrival. Carista will also tell you the sort loading so you can see if it’s likely to start before setting off. I’m sure there is plenty more on Carista within this forum.

Addition Here is the procedure from Carista:

Start the DPF regeneration procedure in the app with the front hood (bonnet) open? Once the regeneration is underway, please close the hood (bonnet), then start driving. When the soot value is below 30g, regeneration is not necessary at this soot level and it may fail to start regeneration.

25A discharge = 300W where is this power consumed ?
